Message from the Principal

Yukari Bunka (Cultural) Kindergarten was founded in 1947 based on the educational policy and aims of cultivating both the body and the mind of children. Our hope was to help children learn to understand the necessity for cultural achievements and for attaining peace in the world.

Our sincere belief and intention was that through love of art, music , singing, dancing, interactive play and exercise, children could learn to love life. Yukari Bunka Kindergarten's name was selected to express our deep belief in the direct connection of culture to a meaningful life.

To realize our goal, appropriate facilities and an environment in which children could freely express themselves, and interact as easily as possible with the teachers was seen as a most basic requirement. We spent many years determining through careful research the necessary requirements and implemented these ideas into the Yukari Bunka (Cultural) Kindergarten that exists today. For fifty years, we have paved the way to realize our "ideal" kindergarten and our quest continues. Constant refinement and fine-tuning to keep up with the changes in society are needed, but our basic aims and philosophy remain unchanged. We continue to strive to offer to the world productive children that through their individual talents can and will live better lives, and at the same time continue to develop their individuality and creativity. Our dream is to see our children grow up to be fine citizens that are well-balanced in sensitivity and intelligence.

The fruits of our labor are already sending their children to Yukari so that we have the opportunity to continue our goal.

We will continue to make every effort to pursue our ideals, and to instill the basic values of life in our children.
